By irrationality I mean everything that is not made conscious. Mood swings are a loss of conscious control and therefore irrational. The burden that comes with pregnancy or birth is nonetheless a burden and that women get reminded of it every month. We got it easy because our only burden is finding food/hunger or finding a mate/reproduction. Which means when it comes to emotional life, a woman is far more aware of their own selves than we men are. They are more connected to nature whereas we men try to conquer nature and our instincts but we miserably fail at it from time to time. If there is anything we should learn is that nature always wins and cannot be conquered. Men complain about marriage because they see this institution as a kind of a transfer payment system between genders. It also limits us to one partner, you know, the idea to dedicating your life to one partner.
