I was just inspired by this friend of mine and also felt guilt too but I have always wanted to help the poor and actually Albania is a rich country compared to Haiti and most parts of Africa.
It's just sad,that people in Third World Countries live on $6.00/month while in United States life gets filled with so much materialism. Always more, people wanting bigger cars, bigger houses, bigger HD-TV-s, bigger sandwiches, bigger wages, vacation spots, more clothes, bigger coffee-mugs etc. Bigger is not always better and more is not always healthy.
These 2 couples I know went for a week in Haiti, to help an orphanage there through the non-profit organization I am part of called Hope World Wide to help the poor around the world. They were quite surpirsed at the conditions of living, very poor, and since the Haiti earthquake the number of orphants had raised from 300.000 to 500-600.000.
Sometimes i feel like a spoiled bratt when i compare my life with people who barely can find food to eat in a day.
