It's true that the sculpture of Rodin is an "spectacle" of naked bodies, but if you observe it closely, you will discover that there is a romantic feeling in the postures that the bodies take (not so erotic, but romantic). Well, most of his works are of this kind, but he has other great pieces like "The Gates of Hell" where he shows a living hell, a modern vision of chaos implanted in every torso, figure and group of figures without end. Or for example his other famous monument to "The Burghers of Calais" where Rodin revivifies a medieval French story of six citizens who had volunteered as sacrificial hostages to an English king in a deal to end a wasting wartime siege.
