I just want to ask you all what you think about what I am going to say and if it has ever happened to you ???

There are good and bad people all over the world, different nations, cultures, beliefs, religions, ethnic minorities etc.

We have our history and our parents have very stong beliefs about different races of people throughout the world. Who did what to who in the WAR'S of this world ??? It all goes back to things that have happened in our lives but sometimes it has not effected all of us.

What would you do if you were associated with someone you were not supposed to be with ? This could be that you have fallen in love with someone or care for someone ????

For example this could be people who are black, chinese, greek, yugoslavian, english ???

Do you think it's too extreme to have friends or love someone in this day and age because of our relationship or just because we are Alabanian a proud race of people???

SOME people in England have their own feelings about us because of what they read in the papers and hear on the news DO YOU THINK THIS IS RIGHT?? SHOULDN'T EVERYONE BE ABLE TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES AND FOLLOW WHAT THEIR HEART TELLS THEM TO DO???

In answer to your question ...........Yes i am Darke my wife is not Albanian, and my parents if they were alive they would be very happy with my choice for as long as i am!! Is that clear .

Hey myzzo I think our parents deep inside wants what's best for us but some of them rely on someone else's decision (Albanian people can influence our parents decision) as a consequence they try and force their daughter or even their son not to fall in love with someone who's background is completely different from us.

p.s. Oh myzzo you should have known by now that she is spanish not from gjirokastra.

For my parents isn't that important if he's black,white or orange...the only thing that matters for them is my happiness.And if somebody of an other race/religion...is able to make me feel that way,the rest wouldn't be important.
BUT,of course I'm the one who has her own preferences :p

I opened the same topic, some few months ago.. If you would consider a relationship with someone whose race are in conflictual interest with each other. To me it is not wrong as long as there is understanding between the two. In fact i went out with a serbian girl, so there was no problem. We dissagreed on Kosovo issue but we never talked about it. The thing is both of you know you have different opinions but "you agree to dissagree" and thats it. No need to go further. Although, usually healthy relationships are with your own people as you understand them better but in everything there is exceptions. People have been intermixing for milleniums now. In short i say to you just follow your heart, regardless what race/color. Sexual preference is a different thing, and if you have strict family customs(especially in the balkans) and you feel weird about it either way it is fine.
