Re: Is there a difference between "I am in love with you" and "I love you"?
Yes, they are very different.
“To be in love” is not the same that “to love”. "To be in love with someone" is at the begining, when you meet somebody and both of you feel attraction. You share your most intimate feelings and thoughts with that person and you feel that finally you made a special conexion with a person. Then you feel so much pleasure that make you smile all day long without any reason, even I think that the chemistry of your body change. You just feel happiness. You feel that your beloved is just perfect for you.
“To love” is different. You love someone when you discover that this person is not perfect and you accept him/her like he or she is. “To love” is a concious decision. You love when you love the good and the bad of that person, when you share happiness and pain with that person, when you give and you receive, when there are shared dreams.
