Well, in phase I you mislead the subject by wearing make-up, calling him back when he hangs up on you, being hot,...
Phase II: marriage! No make-up, you're "naturally beautiful", you kiss on the forehead bc you don't wanna make a mess of your lipgloss, you let him call back(otherwise no dinner),...Oh joy!

like 'stay awake just to watch you sleep' --i find that creepy.
like 'constantly reminding you how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you'-- it's nice but having it constantly is tiring and boring, i actually find that to be a dysfunctional relationship, the boy too dependent on the girl or vice versa, nope,thank you.
( these are signs of obsession not romance)

But i like the idea from the passage of the guy respecting who you are and being proud of you and with how different you are and vice versa. I think romance gets deeper right there, when you respectthe differences and more ,when you help the other person reach his/her dreams.
